Grafting is a natural process that joins the top part of one plant (scion) to the root system of another plant without any genetic modification. As tissues heal, the two plants fuse, combining the rootstock’s vigor and disease resistance*—for increased water and nutrient uptake for higher yields—with the scion’s exceptional fruit quality and flavor.

Plug Connection’s grafted vegetables are grown under USDA Organic standards. Certified Organic growers may label these plants with the USDA logo for higher margins. Not certified? No problem. Finish them under your conventional production and forgo the organic seal—the choice is yours!

CONSUMERS planting in garden or large container:
Keep graft above soil level, so scion does not root. Remove suckers that form below the graft or roots that appear above the graft. Prune carefully and provide support.
